Potential Cloud Forest Distribution

Map created using the Mountains of the world - 2000 (Kapos et al, 2000), Forest Cover (Iremonger et al, 1997) and MODIS percentage canopy cover datasets. After combining these datasets together to find areas of mountain forest, areas of forest that fall outside the altitudinal ranges of different mountain and island systems identified as containing Cloud forest were excluded.
